Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel, New Mexico’s Best Bet, welcomes Emmy-nominated comedian and writer Michelle Wolf to The Stage on Friday, Sept. 13, and Saturday, Sept. 14. Both nights the shows begin at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Heralded by the Village Voice as “the voice stand-up comedy needs right now,” New York-based comedian Michelle Wolf made international headlines after taking the stage as the headliner of the 2018 Correspondents Dinner. Thrust into the comedy spotlight, Wolf parlayed her new-found success into the critically-acclaimed variety sketch series “The Break with Michelle Wolf” on Netflix where she served as the executive producer, writer and host. Her first hour-long stand-up special, “Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady,” aired on HBO last year and featured Wolf tackling a wide range of topics including her surprising thoughts on feminism, the environment, why Hilary Clinton could not be a “nice lady,” and more of life’s everyday absurdities. The special garnered her a Primetime Emmy nod for “Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special.”
Additionally, Wolf wrote and performed on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” and was an on-air contributor and writer for Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” She created and starred in two digital series, “Now Hiring” and “Used People” for Comedy Central and was a writer on the “88th Academy Awards” hosted by Chris Rock.
Tickets to Michelle Wolf’s performances at The Stage at Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel range between $25 and $40 and can be purchased online at www.thestageatthestar.com. Attendees must be 21 years old or older. For more information, please call (505) 771-5680.
