Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel, New Mexico's Best Bet, welcomes multi-platform entertainer and stand-up comedian Brendan Schaub to The Stage. He will perform two shows on Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday Dec. 8, beginning at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Schaub began his career in the world of professional sports – first in the NFL and then the UFC – but it wasn't until he became a podcast host and stand-up comedian that he found his true calling. Upon his retirement from the UFC, Schaub began pursuing a career as a stand-up comedian and podcast personality when he became co-host of the popular podcast "The Fighter and the Kid" alongside fellow stand-up comedian Bryan Callen. In the wake of the success of the podcast, the duo began touring the country, recording live episodes of their podcast and performing as a duo stand-up comedy act. The pair then released "The Fighter and the Kid 3D," a 12-episode digital comedy series, that debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts.
Following the enormous success of the podcast and tour, Schaub launched his own solo podcast initially titled the "Big Brown Breakdown" that is geared towards mixed martial arts topics and receives 4 million downloads a month. Schaub recently teamed up with Showtime to rebrand the podcast now titled "Below the Belt with Brendan Schaub." He also made his first solo appearance as a stand-up comedian at The World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles and has since gone on to perform sold-out live shows across North America, Australia, London, and Dublin. In addition to podcasting and stand-up, Schaub began co-hosting award show after-shows for E! Entertainment News and serves as a panelist on the television show "Play-by-Play" on the Bravo network.
Tickets to Brendan Schaub's performances at The Stage at Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel range between $15 and $50 and can be purchased online at www.thestageatthestar.com. Attendees must be 21 years old or older. For more information, please call (505) 771-5680.
