Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel, New Mexico’s Best Bet, is teaming up with Albuquerque Computer and Electronics Recycling, Co. and the Town of Bernalillo to keep electronics out of landfills and protect the environment by hosting an electronics recycling event. Guests are invited to drop off retired and unused electronics for recycling at the casino Saturday, August 21 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
“Electronics recycling gives people an easy and convenient way to get rid of items that are outdated, broken or that aren’t used anymore,” said The Star’s Director of Marketing, Tammy Neil. “We’re happy to announce the continuation of our annual event, which ensures responsible recycling and protects our environment.”
At Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel’s electronics recycling event, Albuquerque Computer and Electronics Recycling Co. will be accepting computers, laptops, printers, tablets, TVs, cell phones, computer accessories, stereo equipment, gaming systems, satellite equipment and more.
Most electronics will be accepted free of charge; however, a few items have a small disposal fee such as printers and CRT computer monitors. Cash and credit cards are accepted. For a complete list of accepted items and prices, please visit www.albuquerquerecycling.net or call (505) 990-3732.
Although the rate of electronics recycling has increased in recent years, electronics remains one of the fastest-growing categories of municipal waste.
