Santa Ana Star Casino, New Mexico's Best Bet, welcomes world-renowned DJ and producer DJ Craze to The Stage on Saturday, Nov. 11. Doors open at 9 p.m.
Although he was born in Nicaragua, DJ Craze, known by day as Artist Delgado, grew up immersed in the diverse Miami music scene. His first set of turntables was purchased with insurance money his family received after Hurricane Andrew destroyed their home in 1992. Since then, he's been a driving force in the bass music industry. A true turntablist, DJ Craze artfully converges influences of hip-hop, Miami bass, trap, breaks, dubstep and drum and bass (D&B) into his bass-driven productions. He won the DMC World DJ Championship three years in a row and has released two solo albums, "Craze Musick" and "Scratch Nerds." He also teamed up with the famed turntable crew, The Allies, to produce 2002's "D-Day." Today, DJ Craze continues to push boundaries co-running a record label, Slow Roast Records, with fellow DJ and producer Kill the Noise. In addition to touring, he recently joined Diplo, Mannie Fresh, The Whooligan, Mija, Destructo and Just Blaze to serve on the judges panel for the Goldie Awards' inaugural "DJ and Beat Battle," which showcased up-and-coming DJs and producers in a high-profile open format battle.
