Ralphie May Brings Larger than Life Comedy to The Stage
The Pueblo of Santa Ana, N.M. – September 14, 2017

Santa Ana Star Casino, New Mexico's Best Bet, welcomes comedian and "Last Comic Standing" runner-up Ralphie May to The Stage. May will perform two shows on Thursday, Sept. 21, and Friday, Sept. 22. Each night the first show begins at 7 p.m. and the second begins at 9:30 p.m.

Although he had always dabbled in comedy, Ralphie May's career as a comedian was jumpstarted when he was 17 after winning the opportunity to open for his idol, Sam Kinison. Upon the advice of Kinison, he relocated to Houston, Texas, and dedicated his time and resources to developing his comedy further. Today May expertly combines his southern roots with a genuine no-holds-barred attitude. Weighing in at 450 pounds, May dismisses notions of political correctness in favor of telling it like it is and aims his comedy at himself as much as any other topic. Nothing is off limits as he discusses cultural stereotypes, gender roles and his own colorful worldview. May's bold style of humor earned him the runner-up title in the inaugural season of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in 2003. Throughout his career, he has released several comedy specials including a comedy album, "Just Correct," in 2005 and Comedy Central specials including "Girth of a Nation," "Prime Cut," "Austin-tatious" and "Too Big to Ignore." He has also released two Netflix specials titled "Unruly" and "Imperfectly Yours."

Tickets to Ralphie May's performances at The Stage at Santa Ana Star Casino range between $20 and $40 and can be purchased online at www.thestageatthestar.com. Attendees must be 21 years old or older. For more information, please call (505) 771-5680.
