Recycle Electronics and Donate Clothing in One Step at Santa Ana Star Casino

The Pueblo of Santa Ana, N.M. – May 2, 2016 – Santa Ana Star Casino, New Mexico’s Best Bet, is teaming up with Albuquerque Recycling, Inc., St. Felix Pantry and the Town of Bernalillo to help those in need and protect the environment this spring cleaning season. Guests are invited to recycle old and broken electronics and donate gently used clothing in one simple step. The event will be held in the casino’s south parking lot on Saturday, May 7, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

“Spring cleaning can be a huge undertaking, so Santa Ana Star Casino and its partners are proud to host an event that makes it fast and convenient for the people of our community to do the right thing by recycling their electronics and donating their gently used clothing,” said Santa Ana Star Casino Director of Marketing Tammy Neil. “With easy curbside drop-off, this event is a ‘one-stop-shop’ that makes strides to protect our environment and helps our neighbors in need.” During Santa Ana Star Casino’s e-recycling and clothing drive event, Albuquerque Recycling, Inc. will be onsite accepting computers, printers, cell phones, monitors, stereos, gaming equipment, computer accessories and more. Most electronics will be accepted free of charge, however several items including microwave ovens and printers have a small disposal fee. St. Felix Pantry will also be onsite during the event accepting gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing. All clothing donations will directly benefit St. Felix Pantry, which is based in Rio Rancho but serves New Mexicans statewide.
