Santa Ana Star Casino, New Mexico's Best Bet, welcomes comedian and entertainer Tim Meadows to The Stage. Meadows will perform one show on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m., and two shows on Friday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Although he took improv classes in his hometown of Detroit, Tim Meadows was first introduced to the world of professional comedy in Chicago as part of the world-famous Second City comedy troupe. Two years later, he joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" where he spent the next decade as a performer and writer. Meadows was one of the longest running cast members in the history of the show, bringing to life a variety of characters including O.J. Simpson, Michael Jackson, Tiger Woods, Oprah Winfrey and, most notably, Leon Phelps, also known as "the Ladies' Man." Today as a stand-up comedian, Meadows delivers comedy that is relatable, but richly sarcastic. Casting himself at the center of much of his comedy, he delves into the entertaining elements of his own experiences while touching on social issues including race, culture and politics. Meadows is also an actor with credits spanning decades of movies and TV shows including "The Ladies Man," "Mean Girls," "The Colbert Report," "Bob's Burgers" and "Son of Zorn" among many others. He current plays Mr. Glascott on ABC's hit show, "The Goldbergs," and will have a role in the show's currently untitled spinoff series.
Tickets to Tim Meadows's performances at The Stage at Santa Ana Star Casino range between $20 and $25 and can be purchased online at www.thestageatthestar.com. Attendees must be 21 years old or older. For more information, please call (505) 771-5680.
