Santa Ana Star Casino Hosts Electronics Recycling Event
The Pueblo of Santa Ana, N.M. - September 20, 2017

Santa Ana Star Casino, New Mexico's Best Bet, is teaming up with Albuquerque Recycling, Inc. and the Town of Bernalillo to keep electronics out of landfills and protect the environment by hosting an electronics recycling event. Guests are invited to drop off retired and unused electronics for recycling at the casino on Saturday, Sept. 23, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

"Living in a technology-based world where we replace many of our electronics every couple of years, it's easy to accumulate a lot of electronics that are outdated, broken or that we just don't use anymore," said Santa Ana Star Casino Director of Marketing Tammy Neil. "Santa Ana Star Casino's electronics recycling event gives people an easy and convenient way to get rid of those items that ensures responsible recycling and protects our environment."
At Santa Ana Star Casino's electronics recycling event, Albuquerque Recycling, Inc. will be accepting computers, laptops, printers, tablets, cell phones, computer accessories, stereo equipment, gaming systems, satellite equipment and more. Projection and CRT (cathode ray tube) televisions will not be accepted at this event.
Most electronics will be accepted free of charge, however a few items have a small disposal fee such as printers and CRT computer monitors. Cash and credit cards are accepted. For a complete list of accepted items and prices, please visit or call (505) 990-3732.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environment Program, nearly 50 million tons of computer products, cell phones and other electronics are expected to be discarded in 2017. Although the rate of electronics recycling has increased in recent years, electronics remains one of the fastest-growing categories of municipal waste.
