Santa Ana Star Casino is Bringing the Heat

Santa Ana Star Casino, New Mexico's Best Bet, is turning up the heat and kicking off green chile season in true New Mexican fashion. In partnership with The Fruit Basket ABQ, the casino is inviting guests to get their green chile fix with live, onsite chile roasting Aug. 18 through Aug. 20 and through promotions all month long where they can earn and win authentic New Mexican green chile, as well as free play and up to $150,000 in cash.

Roasted Riches
Every Saturday at 8 p.m., Santa Ana Star Casino will host a "Roasted Riches" drawing where five guests will be selected. Four will win free play prizes up to $250, and one will win a year's supply of authentic New Mexican green chile and the chance to play the "Roasted Riches" game. Based on the classic question—"Red or green?"—the selected guest will start at Level One and get two choices—red or green? One envelope will contain a cash prize and the other will advance the guest to the next level to play for an even bigger cash prize. Guests can win up to $150,000 each week. Star Rewards Club members can earn entries now through Sept. 16 for every 500 points.

Chile Chile Bang Bang Green Chile Giveaway
For the first time ever, Santa Ana Star Casino is giving away green chile to its guests during the "Chile Chile Bang Bang Green Chile Giveaway." From Friday, Aug. 18, through Sunday, Aug. 20, guests who earn 250 points will receive a free 1-pound bag of frozen green chile. Guests must pick up their chile between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the casino's main entrance, and they can earn a maximum of four bags per day.

Bring the Heat Hot Seats
During the same weekend as the "Chile Chile Bang Bang Green Chile Giveaway," Santa Ana Star Casino will hold "Bring the Heat Hot Seats." From Aug. 18 through Aug. 20, two guests will be selected each hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The selected guests will each win $20 in free play and a 40-pound sack of green chile that will be freshly roasted outside the casino's main entrance.

The Fruit Basket ABQ is a local, family-owned business that will supply the green chile for Santa Ana Star Casino's festivities. Serving authentic New Mexican green chile direct from the farm for more than 30 years, The Fruit Basket ABQ sources its chile from several locations throughout New Mexico including Hatch, Lemitar (located in Socorro) and Artesia.
