Santa Ana Star Expands Sportsbook with Restaurant and Bar

The Pueblo of Santa Ana, N.M. – June 7, 2023 – Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel, New Mexico’s Best Bet, today announced the opening of its state-of-the-art Legends Sportsbook. The newly remodeled space also includes Home Plate, the casino’s brand-new, full-service restaurant and bar.

 “The Star made history by opening New Mexico’s first full-scale tribal casino sportsbook, and now we’re excited to provide seasoned sports bettors and casual fans with an elevated and more entertaining sports betting experience,” said Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel Chief Executive Officer John Cirrincione. “The design of the newly remodeled space, including the restaurant and bar, were created to make this venue New Mexico’s premiere destination for sports betting.”

 Legends Sportsbook offers five betting windows, automated betting kiosks, and VIP stadium seating for viewing games. Games will be seen from everywhere in the venue on a 35-foot-wide high-resolution state-of-the-art LED TV. The raised level of the sportsbook includes a baseball style box seating for diners wishing to enjoy great pub-style menu items created by Executive Chef, Edward Duncan.

 “I kept asking the question: Is this where I would want to hang out with friends and family, watch a game, eat great food, and make the games more exciting by placing a few bets?” said Cirrincione. “As huge fans of sports and great food, we designed Legends Sportsbook and the Home Plate menu from that perspective. We’re not selling products like most casinos; we are selling great experiences.” 

 Construction for the Legends Sportsbook began in January and was led by Klinger Construction. The new sportsbook replaces the space of The Star’s night club, The Stage.

 Legends Sportsbook is open daily at 9 a.m. Home Plate is open daily at 8 a.m. for food service and 11 a.m. for beverage service.
