Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel, New Mexico’s Best Bet, welcomes back world-renowned comedian Brian Poshen to The Stage on Saturday, Aug. 10. He will perform two shows; the first begins at 7 p.m. and the second begins at 9:30 p.m.
Brian Posehn is a California-based writer, actor and stand-up comedian. Self-proclaimed as a life-long nerd, Posehn’s career in comedy has been largely based on his long-lasting passion for all things nerdy such as comic books, Star Wars, horror movies and heavy metal music. Over the years, Posehn has become an easily recognizable face in the comedy world and despite his awkward and quirky outward demeanor, he’s become a veteran comedian that commands the stage with an intelligent style of humor that can be at times a bit self-loathing and sarcastic, but always hilariously entertaining. Posehn is best-known for his work in hit comedies including “The Big Bang Theory,” “New Girl,” The Sarah Silverman Program,” Netflix’s “Dynamite” and FX’s “You’re the Worst.” He also stars in two half-hour Comedy Central specials, two hour-long comedy specials and has released four comedy albums. In addition to performing comedy both on- and off-camera, Posehn has produced and hosted a comedy podcast called “Nerd Poker.” He also co-wrote 45 issues of the popular Marvel comic book “Deadpool” and released his first book, “Forever Nerdy: Living My Dorky Dreams and Staying Metal” in October of last year.
