Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel, New Mexico's Best Bet, welcomes comedian Josh Wolf to The Stage. He will perform one show on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. and two shows on Saturday March 16, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
As a young kid growing up outside Boston, Wolf knew he had a love of comedy and making people laugh. He started performing stand-up when he was 15 and by the time he was in his mid-twenties he had made a mark in the local Seattle stand-up comedy circuit. In an effort to expand his comedy career, Wolf made the move to Los Angeles where he also began writing comedy for television shows and acting. In 2009, he joined Chelsea Handler's late-night talk show, "Chelsea Lately," as a round-table panelist where he soon gained recognition for his quick-witted humor and colorful commentary on the day's pop culture news. Eventually, he became a writer for the show and a New York Time's best-selling author for his contributions to Lately's book "Lies that Chelsea Handler Told Me."
Wolf's stand-up routines heavily feature hilarious stories of the personal trials and tribulations he experienced when he became a 24-year-old single father and the hardships he faced while simultaneously trying to navigate a successful dating life. Those stories led to him landing his first book deal in 2012 titled, "It Takes Balls: Dating Single Moms and Other Confessions from an Underprepared Single Dad." The book was released the following year and has since become a New York Times bestseller.
In addition to regularly performing stand-up, Wolf is the host of two podcasts, "Fairly Normal w/Josh Wolf," and "Prinze and the Wolf," which he co-hosts with fellow actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. He also appeared on the hit television sitcoms, "My Name is Earl," and "Raising Hope," and hosted CMT's first late-night talk show "The Josh Wolf Show."
Tickets to Josh Wolf's performances at The Stage at Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel range between $15 and $30 and can be purchased online at www.thestageatthestar.com. Attendees must be 21 years old or older. For more information, please call (505) 771-5680.
