Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel, New Mexico's Best Bet, welcomes comedian, actor and popular podcaster Bryan Callen to The Stage on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13. He will perform two shows beginning at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Bryan Callen was born in Manilla, Philippines and lived in many different countries until the age of 14 when his family moved the United States. After college, he studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school and in 1995, made his television debut on the sketch comedy series, "MadTV." Known for his energetic, physical and highly entertaining style of comedy, Callen became a regular at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and has performed in theaters and comedy venues across the world. He has filmed three comedy specials, including his most recent special, "Complicated Apes," which debuted in March. In 2014, he began portraying his most popular acting role to date, Coach Mellor, on the hit comedy series "The Goldbergs" and its spin-off "Schooled." He has also made frequent appearances on other popular television shows including HBO's "Oz" and "Sex and the City" and has appeared on the big screen in films such as "Old School," "Ride Along," and the first two "Hangover" movies.
In addition to his stand-up and acting career, Callen is the co-host of the wildly popular and successful comedy podcast, "The Fighter and The Kid," with fellow comedian Brendan Schaub. In the wake of the success of the podcast, the duo began touring the country, recording live episodes of their podcast and performing as a duo stand-up comedy act. The pair then released "The Fighter and the Kid 3D," a 12-episode digital comedy series, that debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts.
